    Answer: The kit includes all necessary hardware, but the door itself is not included.
  • Question: What type of walls can the hardware be installed on?

    Answer: The hardware must be installed on solid load-bearing walls, not on hollow walls.
  • Question: What is the weight capacity of the sliding barn door hardware?

    Answer: The hardware has a weight capacity of up to 100 kg.
  • Question: What minimum height clearance is required at the top of the door?

    Answer: I would say 50mm to be safe
  • Question: Can this be fitted on a stud wall?

    Answer: Providing there are solid fixings where the runner plate is being fixed behind the stud wall then yes, but it must be strong enough to take the weight of the door
  • Question: How do I know how big to buy a door to use on this runner?

    Answer: Get a door slightly bigger than the door frame hole. As long as it's not a fire door (very heavy). The runner bar needs good solid fixings, so you may need to investigate how solid the wall is first. If it's a stud wall (hollow), you may need to put a long piece of wood first screwed to the stud inside the wall. It's quite a simple installation.
  • Question: Got 2 sets of hex screws?

    Answer: I had one set of hex screws. I had to buy my own fitting parts as I was fixing it to a mason art wall. The fittings that come with it are not good for that.
  • Question: What is the minimum clearance you can have between the top of the door and ceiling please?

    Answer: It is just a little larger than the diameter of the wheel, not a specific size.
  • Question: What tool can I use to cut the rail to shorten it as I need to trim it down?

    Answer: I did not have to cut my rail, but if I did, I would use a hacksaw.
  • Question: Is there enough space to keep a skirting board of 2cm thickness behind the sliding door? Or does the skirting board need to be removed?

    Answer: Keep your skirting board. You need to buy a floor guide. It's basically an L-shaped frame with two wheeled guides. The door runs in between, and it's adjustable. Hope this helps.
  • Question: I am drilling into breeze block. What fittings should I use?

    Answer: The fittings supplied are more than enough.
