Is this really waterproof?
Answer: Destroyed my wood floors. Not waterproof! -

Will it mark or hurt marble floors?
Answer: Don’t think so. We have wood floor & flip this green side down so we can easily slide the tree into its position. We bought it to protect our floor from scratches. We also cover the bottom base with a round stand cover so it looks much nicer. -

Will rubberized backing leave a mark on hardwood floors?
Answer: It did not leave any marks on our hardwood floors. Worked great. -

What is it made of?
Answer: Our mat is made of a polyester absorbent material that has a felt like appearance. The back of the mat features a liquid bonded PVC waterproof slip-resistant backing. Proudly made in the USA from over 50% recycled fibers. Phthalate and BPA free. Thank you. Answer: Yes, I have used one of these for several years. It just protects your carpet or floors. -

Waterproof is critical, but is the slip resistant feature a good thing or a pain? Can the final adjusting in the tree position be done easily?
Answer: Slip resistance is a good thing. The adjustment of tree position is not difficult. We're very pleased with the mat. -

Will the backing leave any black stains on carpet?
Answer: I don’t think so, but you could always flip it upside down. We have hardwood and have opted to place the green side down so we can easily slide the tree while on the floor to position it. It works great. We cannot slide it with the other side bc it has black grip. The green is felt, I believe. We bought this last winter for our Christmas tree, so it’s packed away right now. We bought this to protect our floor from any scratches. Very nice.
