The PreSonus Monitor Station V2 is a great studio control centre for those looking to switch quickly between input sources and output speakers. The device can route up to five stereo outputs (headphones and studio monitors) and doesn't physically connect with any computer via data cables. You connect it to your audio interface/hardware via audio cables (XLR, 1/4"). The unit comes equipped with a talkback mic to communicate with the musician/vocalist in the recording booth. However, there are no individual left and right trim knobs, and the headphone jack placement does not make much sense. The meter resolution could also be better, but it is a steal for the price. The internal components are much higher quality than those in Mackie's Big Knob, which can add "hum" to the speakers.
