The shield boss in question has a diameter of 8 inches and is less than three inches tall from the center to the edge vertically. It is sturdy enough for SCA heavy fighting and comes with mounting hardware, including rivets and washers. The inside of the bowl comes in one size only. Customers have used it successfully for making shields and have found it of good quality and easy to work with. Although some customers found it smaller than expected, it was still well-made and suited their needs.
