Epson Inkjet Ink Cartridges Editorial Review
The Epson ET-8550 EcoTank printer has garnered a favorable reception among customers, primarily for its impressive cost-efficiency and user-friendly ink filling system. Reviewers appreciate the no-spill design for refilling ink, which makes the process much more straightforward compared to traditional cartridges. Users have noted that the printer employs a true CMYK system that includes three types of black, enhancing its capability to produce quality prints, particularly for photos and difficult color areas like skin tones. The transition from the previous Claria HD photo system is acknowledged, with many users indicating that, while differences in print quality may exist, they are negligible for the average Consumer. The significant advantages in print volume—up to twenty times more prints for the same cost—are widely praised, especially for those with heavy printing needs. Users comment on the overall quality and speed of the printer, stating they find it superior to competitors like Brother or HP. Many have noted that after a year of use, they still have plenty of ink left, which highlights the economic advantage of the EcoTank system, making it particularly valuable for home use and educational purposes. Furthermore, the printer’s setup and storage are characterized as easy, reinforcing its appeal to both novice and experienced users alike. In summary, the Epson ET-8550 stands out not only for its innovative ink technology but also for its ability to deliver high-quality prints while meeting the demands of frequent use without the burden of high ink costs. **
