The DIGITNOW 8mm & Super 8 Reels to Digital MovieMaker Film Scanner Converter is a great system that provides clear movies and high-quality MP4 files. The unit also has a number of settings to help with converting brighter films. Though the instruction manual is terrible, the system works well for digitizing 8mm films and converting them to your computer. It takes about 30 minutes for a standard reel to be digitized and the quality is almost the same as watching the 8mm film on a projector. The machine does not have that bright bulb that burned holes in the film, like the old projectors. However, the unit is time-Consuming and requires a lot of patience and some tinkering to get started. The menu and instructions are really clunky due to the bad translation, and it has a lot of noise, but it does the job right, provided you know its limitations.
