Answer: We have had this unit on our door to the outdoor kitchen for about 9 months. There is no visible evidence of use. Still looks just like the day we bought it. We live in an area where outdoor cooking is done continuously. This door is also a shortcut to our garden therefore it is used on a daily basis. -

Does the lock mechanism work from inside the house to be able to secure the door from inside?
Answer: This is the handleset for a single door... it has a keyhole on one side and a thumbturn on the other. You can secure it from the inside or the outside. -
Question:
Will this work with Andersen A series door?
Answer: Will need to check your door to make sure you have a 3 pint locking system. Best thing to do is to check manufacturer tag on inside door jamb , call anderson and they will give you options for what works. Ask for the part numbers and begin your search doing this procedure . This is what we do for our custers and it never fails.
