The Meike MK 85mm f/1.8 Portrait Lens is a popular choice for those looking for an affordable portrait lens with a wide aperture. It is compatible with a variety of Canon camera models and the overall image quality is impressive. The auto-focus works well with the manual focus feeling easy to control. However, the autofocus is registered as one of the biggest drawbacks of this product, it can be extremely noisy and the lens does not have an Image Stabilization feature making it quite tricky to shoot without shake. The loud noise may not be an issue for some but for those who may be taking photos in quieter settings, it may be a problem. Another drawback is that the lens does not come with a lens profile and there are no Adobe Lightroom lens profiles available. Despite the few drawbacks mentioned, this is a solid performer that is worth buying at its price.
