Answer: Actually the size doesn't matter as long as the electrical specs match up, as long as you have room to install the larger one on the motor then you're OK. I did this on one of my machines and it works fine. I strapped the larger capacitor to the motor with some metal strapping. -

Hi, will this replace Philips 270-325 mfd; 110-115 vac 60hz?
Answer: This unit is barely large enough in terms of microfarad and slightly overkill regarding voltage. -
