The Wiseguy: The Collector's Edition All Episodes, which includes the Dead Dog Records episodes, is a very good release from VEI on Blu-Ray. The video quality is good, and the audio quality is acceptable, with some noticeable shifts in volume levels. The complete collection is packaged in sleeves set in a standard-sized case with a cutout for the sleeves option. The video is presented in the original aspect ratio of 4:3, but frame-matted for 16:9 displays which are acceptable. However, it can be challenging to see on 4:3 displays as it needs to be viewed with black bars at the top and sides of the screen. On the positive side, the set appears to have restored much of the original music, making it the most complete as far as US releases on disc are concerned. Also, the closed captioning for people who are deaf is a nice touch. Overall, it is a great purchase for fans of Ken Wahl, who is a great long-time actor.
