The Relay Module Board 7812+UPC1237 Speaker Protection Relay Module Board 12-24V is a high-quality PCB with a well-laid-out design and good quality Omron relays. The input voltage limit on the 7812 regulator used is 35vdc, and the minimum input voltage is 14.5vdc. The module will work with any class of amplifier and can eliminate speaker thump when powering off the amplifier. However, be aware that the three capacitors labeled 100uf-10uf-100uf need to be changed to those values to provide enough delay. The correct values provide a 2-second delay. Nevertheless, some customers have noted that the unit does not have any turn-on delay because the capacitor values actually deviate from what is printed on the circuit board. Therefore, replacing the 3 black caps in the center of the board from 47,15,47 to the proper 100,50,100 provides a 2-second delay and removes the turn-on transient.
