The Coppertone Pure & Simple Baby Tear- Free Mineral Lotion SPF 50 contains 24.08% zinc as the sunscreen ingredient and does not contain octinoxate or other sunscreen ingredients. As per customer service, the packaging is the only difference between this product and the others sold under the “pure and simple” label for adults, face, and kids. It comes with a complete list of ingredients at the back of the product, and the manufacturer has not tested it for baby acne. The expiration date will vary depending on manufacture date and can be found at the bottom, top, or back of the product. Several customers reported that the product worked well, protected their children perfectly, and did not cause any allergic reactions on sensitive skins. A few others, however, did not like the thick texture, white cast, or difficulty spreading. One customer suggested it is an excellent option for sun protection, and the zinc in the formula makes it water-proof and can withstand prolonged exposure to sun and water. The customer noted that while some tourists prefer tanning, using the product reduces the possibility of intense pain from sunburns later.
