Based on the FAQs, the jack stands serve best for self-work and oil changes, and not recommended for use on compact cars. There is a discrepancy regarding the rating per stand as per ASME PASE-2014, wherein a 3-ton rated jack stand has only a 1.5-ton maximum load individually.
