The little nub for the tool-less installation is a bit short for some fingers, but it is still easy to lift it up using a nail. The USB-C NVMe Enclosure supports only M.2 NVMe SSDs with the M-Key and does not support non-NVMe SSDs even if they are M-Key. The enclosure's maximum read and write speeds are limited by the USB connection speed, with the drive having a theoretical maximum Read speed of over 900MB/s and Write speed over 925MB/s. Real-world file transfer speeds vary depending on the size of the files, the application used to copy them, and the source media. However, some customers have reported issues with the enclosure overheating and disconnecting during long, sustained transfers or continual use. Additionally, one customer reported compatibility issues with an NVMe made back in 2016.
