The POLY & BARK Essex 89" Sofa in Full-Grain Pure-Aniline Italian Tanned Leather in Cognac Tan is a substantial and high-quality sofa that is comfortable and easy on the eyes. The leather color and feel are remarkable, and the seat cushions and padding all around are very comfortable and ergonomic. The sofa is a firm sofa but comfortable for sitting, and it's possible to sleep on it too. One downside, however, is the difficulty of ordering a sofa online because you can't see or feel it before you buy. Thus the words in the reviews were very reassuring to potential customers who could not afford to visit local stores because of the overhead costs. Some customers also mentioned that the leather was dry and required immediate conditioning, but generally, the Essex leather looks beautiful and elegant. Some reviewers also noted some challenges with longevity, as the leather became worn quite quickly in one case. Overall, it is an excellent product with a few isolated incidents of issues.
