This prevents adhesive from sticking to surfaces where movement is expected. It is ideal for use in expansion joints, ensuring flexibility and durability, especially in areas subject to temperature fluctuations or vibrations. -
Question:
How does CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape work?
Answer: The tape provides a physical barrier that interrupts the adhesion between the sealant and the surface. When applied, it allows for movement without compromising the integrity of the sealant. This is particularly beneficial in dynamic applications where movement is expected, such as in glass facades or precast concrete systems. -
Question:
Is CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape compatible with all sealants?
Answer: While CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape works well with most types of sealants, it is essential to check compatibility with specific sealant products. Answer: To apply CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape, clean the surfaces thoroughly to remove any dust or debris. Cut the tape to the desired length and firmly press it onto the substrate, ensuring proper adhesion. This straightforward application method allows for quick setup, making it handy for contractors and DIY enthusiasts. -
Question:
What is the benefit of using CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape over sealant alone?
Answer: Using CRL 1 Bond Breaker Tape enhances the performance of sealants by allowing for movement and reducing stress on bond lines.
