The Vent Systems 6" Diameter 7.5" x 7.5" Inch White Ventilation Grille with Rain Cover is designed for both internal and external ventilation. It features a removable hood and flapper assembly to cover the screws and make it easier to service. However, several customers have reported that the vent cover is cheaply made and fell apart after a short period of use. Some also complained about the loud backdraft damper/flap when opening or closing and that the wind can bang it around. One customer suggested adding magnetic tape to keep it closed when the range hood is not operating.
