The joystick controller is easy to use and provides smooth action. The PT-SR has two coreless high torque motors that provide the payload capacity of 7.5kg/16.5lb. The speed is variable-controlled from 6 degrees/sec (low speed) to 51 degrees/sec. The slowest speed is 2 minutes and the highest speed is 7 seconds. Unfortunately, it cannot be computer-controlled for precise pan/tilt angles. It does not take batteries, it plugs into the wall. The joystick controller directly connects with the cables. Overall, customers were pleased with the Senior Pan Tilt Head's smooth action and payload capacity. However, some were disappointed that it cannot be mounted to a 3/8" screw tripod and cannot be computer-controlled.
