The ultra-wide angle view lets you capture large landscapes, unique architecture, and dramatic close-ups. The F2.8 aperture allows shooting in low light conditions. It has a solid metal Construction and a manual focus design that allows for precise control and achieving a very shallow depth of field. The lens does have lens distortion which can be easily corrected post-photo in pictures and video, but not so much with free versions of Davinci. There have been some quality assurance issues, such as some users seeing fingerprints on the lens and the lens stopping short of infinity. It has also been noted that the lens is manual focus and adjustment needs to be remembered. However, customers have enjoyed the image and picture quality of the lens and found it especially useful when shooting live concerts.
