The Cradlepoint Cellular Broadband Adapter CBA850/LP6-NA works with all North American carriers and can be used overseas with a SIM card. It has two full size (2FF) SIM slots and automatically switches over from ethernet to LTE. The Cradlepoint NetCloud subscription that is included in the hardware price provides access to Cradlepoint engineers if needed. The device is small, light, and can run on PoE. The device has multiple networking capabilities for large and complicated networks. Tech support is responsive and helpful. The device runs very hot, and it takes serious tech skills to set up with more than one SIM card. The SIM slots are on the inside, and the unit must be removed to replace the cards. It would be better if they were accessed with the modem in place. Also, to switch between the 2 cards requires a reboot of the unit. The unit needs a wireless contract with Verizon or ATT to connect to the internet. A reviewer tested the device's backup circuit and had positive results. The positives include that it is bulletproof, works on big GSM and CDMA carriers, does carrier aggregation, and you can plug a wireless AP into the NAT port, and people can start working when the cellular is up. The negatives include that it takes a long time to switch between carriers, even in an automated failover. The device has a significant heat issue, and the tech set up can be challenging.
