The Hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW is a cube camera that has a 4MP true WDR sensor. Although it doesn't have recording capabilities with a NAS, it can be done using NVR software on a NAS. A customer also worried about the camera's authenticity, and was informed that the packaging, interface, firmware, and etc. are identical to that of the 3MP version that the camera is replacing. This camera is not meant to be used outdoors, but the IR can be controlled through the remote control settings menu. It is capable of scheduling recording times, but there is no way to turn off the video via and app or some other way. The product page claims that the camera can take up to a 128GB SD card. With regards to reviews, the product has no dislikes according to some customers. However, another customer had a bad experience with the camera as it doesn't work with US Hikvision NVR Firmware, this resulted in their NVR getting bricked. Additionally, the camera's resolution is limited to 640x360 if accessed via Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
