Fender Solid Body Editorial Review
The Fender Telecaster Player Series is a solid guitar that delivers on its classic sound and playability. It comes with a polyurethane finish, has a bolt-on maple neck and fingerboard, and most of the metal on the guitar is chrome plated. The guitar doesn't come with a case. Some customers have not been impressed with the stock pickups and have had to purchase and install aftermarket pickups. Others have had to take it to a luthier to have work done, including adjustments to the truss rod, leveling and crowning of the frets, and to have the guitar properly intonated and adjusted. On the other hand, many customers were impressed with the guitar's quality and craftsmanship and felt it played like an instrument that costs three times as much. Some customers received damaged guitars, and their concerns about the damage were unaddressed.
