The necklace is made up of 925 sterling silver and can be worn in 18 inches. The jewelry is perfect for October birthstone and makes for an excellent gift for women. Customers have mixed feelings about this necklace. Some feel that it is not worth the price and looks like a piece of plastic or gravel from a driveway. The chain also turned black after wearing it 4 or 5 times. However, one customer liked the pretty and dainty colorful look and felt comfortable wearing it. Another customer felt embarrassed to have given this as a gift as it was not quartz as stated in the description, but a piece of plastic. However, many customers appreciated the beauty of the stone and were ecstatic about how their significant others admired the jewelry.
