can someone advise which color wire is the positive + and which wire is the negative -, I bought the 6 wire device.
Answer: That is up to you. You can use any of the conductors to pass positive, negative voltage or data, up to the current limit of the conductor. This is a slip ring that allows 6 conductors to pass from a stationary to a rotating component it is not a motor.
