The printer is shipped empty and when using the Epson refill cartridges, you can just pour in the ink till it is full. The ink usage is much less than cartridge ink printers. The rear load tray that is used for letter size pages and legal size paper is shared space and does not have a separate tray. Although the printer does not support printing on card stock paper, it can do 2-sided copying or scanning. This printer is perfect for home and small business use. It is economical, easy to set up and use, and the print quality is excellent. However, it has been reported that the print head clogs up frequently and needs to be cleaned at least two times a month.
