The valve comes with everything inside including a 24vac solenoid to control the flow of water. It is a threaded valve that can be operated manually to open and close the valve by screwing or unscrewing the solenoid. Just keep in mind that you need an AC system to operate the solenoid. Overall, customers are very satisfied with this product, and many appreciate the ease of installation. Some have even used just the top part to avoid having to re-pipe the entire valve.
