The meter kit comes with a BNC connector, making electrode attachment easy. However, it is not suitable for testing the pH of distilled or deionized water, and users need a specialized pH electrode for this purpose. It can also measure other parameters such as TDS, salinity, and temperature, although the default electrode is not ideal for these tests. The FAQ section of the product page on Apera Instruments' website contains information regarding electrode substitution and other technical specifications. The website advises caution in using the meter kit with an EC electrode while testing oils, as it can result in a shorter lifetime for the electrode.
