The Apulat magnetic holder uses strong neodymium magnets that can be used to attach a device like an iPad to a laptop for use as a second monitor. The product comes with two adhesive-backed metal plates, one to attach to the laptop and one to attach to the device. Customers who use a protective case for their iPad have reported that the device cannot stick well to the magnet. Some users had issues with the adhesion of the product, where the external display fell out from the magnets after a day or two, however, this can be resolved with a stronger 3M VHB mounting tape. The magnets are strong enough for their purposes, but a single magnet may sag a little bit if the extra device being attached is too heavy. It is advised to get two magnets if the device is too heavy. The metal plates are not discreet and can snag a bit in a laptop bag. The product is available in the second half of November. Overall, Apulat magnetic holder is a more efficient and convenient solution for college students with a limited setup space.
