Liquid Rubber EPDM Primer is a product used as a pre-treatment for rubber roof seams, and is available in gallon and quart sizes. If you work in manageable sections or in halves, this primer will help to insure good adhesion to the existing material, and can be applied to both water-based and solvenated coatings. It is not a stand alone coating, it is to be coated over with the Liquid Rubber Coating of your choice, for example, the Liquid Rubber RV Roof Coating. The coverage for Liquid Rubber EPDM Primer is approximately 250 sq ft per gallon and 65 sq ft per quart. The primer is not to be used as an adhesive. Liquid Rubber USA also offers Multi-Purpose Primer for bonding rubber surfaces to different types of PVC. Although the technical support, application information and instructional videos are helpful; Liquid Rubber USA/CAN has received a number of complaints about product quality, with some customers stating that the adhesive has already dried up in the can, and other customers experiencing peeling on their roof after only a few weeks.
