Is this vacuum suitable for people with allergies or asthma?
Answer: Yes, it is certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and has a triple HEPA filter system to trap allergens. -

Answer: Yes, it is designed to clean surfaces from hardwood to laminate and pile carpet. -

Answer: It was the second highest rated in consumer reports. I really like it. Light weight but heavy duty when vacuuming the carpet and bare floors. -

How often do you need to change the filter and where do you get them?
Answer: The Kenmore 22614 has two filters. The primary filter can be washed (recommended once a month) but the exhaust filter cannot. Changing the filter all depends on how much use the vacuum gets. Contact Kenmore at 844-553-6667, Option 2 and they can assist in where to order replacement filters. -

Does this come with a separate brush floor head or is the power head a multi-floor head?
Answer: It has one head with beater brushes to use on both carpet and hard surface. I use it on both. There are other attachments but they don't spin. This is a great vac. -
Question:
We have ceiling fans which need to be vacuumed. How long is the hose?
Answer: I clean my air vents and ceiling fans all the time with it. I have vaulted ceilings, so my fans are rather high up. Even if the hose doesn't quite reach, it's very easy to hold the cleaner by its top handle for added reach. IT IS A VERY GOOD VACUUM! -

Why is it so difficult to pull out the dust cup to empty it?
Answer: Lift the dust cup handle at the top of the dust cup. Pull the handle up and lift the dust cup up and out of the vacuum cleaner. It should not be difficult to take it out. -

Does this vacuum under furniture?
Answer: Yes, it does. It also depends on how high your furniture is. Canister vacuums are the best to vacuum under furniture. -

Anyone know where I can get a powermate replacement?
Answer: Sears Parts online, just Google it. -

How well does the pet power attachment work? Is it worth the extra $$?
Answer: As far as I'm concerned, the powered pet hair attachment is worth it. I've used it to remove dog hair out of upholstery and the seats and carpet of a vehicle. It worked well to remove pet hair from the vehicle's carpet when nothing else seemed to work. -
