Question:
Would these run off any poe switch?
Answer: The packs sold by LiniTX are the new 802.3af/at compatible models. Providing your switch is 802.3af/at it will power them fine. -
Question:
Do these access points ship with the new 802.3af PoE standard that was added recently?
Answer: The ones I received were the newer model with 802.3af POE tested on a Netgear POE switch and standard POE injectors. -
Question:
Are these acccess points 802.3af/ 802.3at compliant such that they can be powered from a standard PoE switch?
Answer: No this won't it needs to powered via the ubiquiti. 24v passive poe capable switch or thier power bricks that support 24v. There is another product they sell that's a converter that's placed inline that converts the standard 48v poe switch down to 24v. -

Answer: Hi, The units sold by LinITX are the latest provided by Ubiquiti. -
Question:
Can this mesh be daisy chained? As in run a cat6 cable from main router to one Ubiquiti, then another cat6 from ubiquiti 1 to another?
Answer: The units don't act as a hub or router, they either need a cable back, or can act as a WiFi repeater from their own signal which might achieve what you want more effectively. -

Does a computer need to be left running 24*7 with the controller software?
Answer: No you don't need a computer to be running 24/7. Once you have configured it to your network switch it will all take care of itself! We've fitted quite a few of these and they work very well. -
Question:
Does this need to be powered over poe or does it come with a uk plug so that i can connect these up wirelessly?
Answer: Hi, Yes the UAP-AC-LR needs to be powered by PoE. It is recommended your wire the UAP-AC-LR back to a switch for the best performance. If your after a wireless set up I would suggest the Ubiquiti Amplifi range of products. -

Apart from the ap's and poe switch, do i need a controller or is it integrated?
Answer: Hi, Yes you will need either the hardware controller (Ubiquiti Cloud Key) or you will need to download the free controller software from the Ubiquiti website. -

What is the difference between the lite and pro version?
Answer: Hi, The simple difference is throughput capability. The UAP-AC-LITE has a total capable throughput of up to 1167Mbps and the UAP-AC-PRO has a total capable throughput of up to 1750Mbps. The range in which a client device can connect to each access point will be near identical. The Pro is intended for use in office environments where to increased throughput may be necessary.
