Mettler Sewing SFC18-KIT Editorial Review
The Mettler SFC18-KIT Silk Finish Cotton Thread Gift Pack offers a great variety of beautiful colors, making it a perfect choice for sewers looking to add some vibrant and eye-catching shades to their projects. The thread glides through smoothly, making hand sewing a breeze and ensuring a snag-free experience, especially for beginners. It is also reported to work well with sewing machines, including the Zinger sewing machine. However, some customers have noted that this thread creates a significant amount of lint, which can be problematic. It is recommended to clean out the bobbin case regularly, possibly every 2-3 bobbins, to prevent lint buildup. This may be an inconvenience for some users. Despite the lint issue, the overall quality of the thread is praised, and it is described as fine and suitable for hand quilting as well as regular sewing. Additionally, the thread is made of cotton, which is a preferred material for those who avoid using polyester threads. In summary, the Mettler SFC18-KIT Silk Finish Cotton Thread Gift Pack offers a great variety of beautiful colors and works well for hand sewing and regular sewing. However, it is important to be aware of the lint issue and the need for regular cleaning.
